Litter Pick Stadium area
24
We are aiming to clear Cooks Drove from the Speedway to the Junction of Cow and Sheep Drove
We will then proceed along Cow and Sheep Drove, past Weston Ditch, out onto Hurdle Drove
Both ends of this road will be marshalled to inform traffic that there are litter pickers on the road and to encourage them to detour round this road, for the safety of the pickers.

Mildenhall Exercises
08
A message from Sqdn Ldr Andrew Bell.
Just wanted to give
you a quick heads-up that RAF Mildenhall will be holding an on-base Exercise
15-19 August incl. There shouldn’t be any impact on the local area, but it will
be the 1st time for several years that the Base has practiced
Exercises whilst wearing Chemical/Nuclear/Biological protective equipment so I
thought you might like some early reassurance that everything is ok.
Quiet Lane
03
Today we officially launched the Quiet Lane status of Cow and Sheep Drove.
Quiet Lanes are routes where visitors and locals can enjoy the natural surroundings and use them for activities such as cycling, horse-riding, jogging and walking. However, the idea is not to restrict motor vehicles on these rural routes, but to encourage considerate use of the road, so they can be shared and enjoyed by all.
An official Quiet Lane will have advisory signs at either end to show motorised users clearly that the road is a shared space. These green signs also clearly show the hierarchy of priority on the road, with pedestrians at the front and motor vehicles last.

Ivy on Trees in our Village
24
The Parish Council is pleased to announce that they have recieved a letter from Terry Waters outlining his kind offer of cutting the ivy off the
mature trees in the village.
We have many mature trees in and around the village that are being swamped by ivy, and we are aware that eventually the ivy will kill the trees.
The Parish Council is grateful for this kind act that can only improve our village environment.
The letter from Terry Waters can be viewed below.
